I was shocked to read this in the newspaper, about girls at Ayyappa College Women’s Hostel, Chengannur, being thrashed by people ( other women) living nearby their hostel. The video is viral and available at Youtube
When the ground floor got flooded, water entered the kitchen, which meant there was no food or water. The toilets too were clogged and they couldn’t use them. There was no electricity either.
The girls saw that a relief camp was set up at the college and the people in the area were housed there – 624 of them. And they wanted to reach that place.
That’s when the attitude of those in the camp became hostile. When the girls called for help, they would tell them, “it’s ok, you are safe.”They were not.
then it was a showering of cuss words on the girls. Some guys flashed their d*cks at the women.
The girls explained to the newspaper that, “We think they didn’t want the helicopters to come to us because one, they feared these large machines that would hit some part of their houses and bring damage. Two, we guess they were afraid we were going to snatch their share of the food”
