New automation project

By | January 19, 2018

Sukalayan informed the team that, in the next week, I will be working with Sukalayan and no one should assign any task to me, during this time.

The idea is to come up with a solution to automate the TFS code check-in ( which is now done manually) and let the developer know in case of any conflicts. This way, check-in time could be reduced

I’m planning to go through the following courses during the weekend, which will help me in this regard

  1. https://app.pluralsight.com/library/courses/alm-fundamentals/table-of-contents
  2. https://app.pluralsight.com/library/courses/alm-for-developers/table-of-contents
  3. https://app.pluralsight.com/library/courses/devops-skills-developers-visual-studio-tfs-2015/table-of-contents

I’m still trying to set up a few things at home, which will help me, in this regard. For example, I installed Windows 7, and some web servers in my home system. This will help me test a lot of things faster. I plan to record tests using Microsoft test manager.

In other news, Melvin will proceed with telling the luthier to proceed with guitar changes, which includes string change, electronic changes and of course the most important part: pick up change.

Both of us are excited about the final results.
