Expectation vs Reality

We always want the best for others. We want others to perform at the best, ALL THE TIME. But when we do this, we are losing an opportunity to learn new skills and make improvements in our lives. Let’s take an example. Let’s assume, that your wife is not that great of a cook. Now instead of reprimanding her every day and complaining about it, you could try learning cooking yourself and start making amazing dishes.

I understand that this is not applicable to all scenarios. For example, if your train is late, you cannot throw away the driver and start driving the locomotive. But my point is that many a time, people not behaving as per your expectation, is a god given opportunity to work on yourself and make the best of the situation by learning something new.
