This is a common thread of discussion which I see in Facebook, whenever India decides to help another human being belonging to a particular country. In the comment section of the post, one could always find hatred and dismay at the fact that we are helping someone in need.
We have to remember here that, we are talking about a 5 year old girl, desperately seeking help and not an international terrorist who killed thousands of people. Think about it, just because of my ideology, if I am voicing my concerns, on a public forum, where more people are influenced ( look at the ‘like’count at the end of the day )while a little girl’s life could be saved, even when that good act neither involves MY money, effort or time, is truly frightening.
I’ve found people having similar hatred towards other gender, race, class, culture or nationality. They try their level best to stop any good karma to happen when the person who needs help happens to be in any of the social, economic class he/ she hates. Even when the needy person has done no direct harm to this person or his family.
Whenever you decide to start a positive action, which will impact one or more people, and when you DO NOT get the support that you expect, remember this post and the collective consciousness of people about whom I explained here. Realizing this, move forward and your fruits of your action will follow you.
