On my way back from the British library, I decided to take a look around the painting exhibition that we held at the Rangoli Metro Art centre, M G Road boulevard. Since I was the only person in the exhibition hall, I had ample time to look through each of the paintings and savour it’s beauty.
The theme was Ramayana and it was by the Dudhat family of artists : Bhanu Dudhat and Prabha Dudhat, originally from Gujarat. As soon as I entered, a kid handed me over this big pamphlet, and it depicted the various achievements of the artists. And I must say, that the list was indeed long 🙂
I was mesmerised by the use of colours and wondered how they achieved that. The highlight of the exhibition was a scroll painting using mdc colour, on grey cotton cloth, depicting pieces from Hindu mythology, that was more than 50 meter long ! It was the first time, in my life, I get to see somethings like this.
I enjoyed the time spent there and this made my evening, more beautiful.
