It has become a common practice for me these days to make a quick dash to the library, return the books, go to the DVD section, then the book section, hurriedly pick up some books, and then finally return back home.
Yesterday, I did something different. After returning the books, I picked up some books, found a comfortable place to sit and started reading the books that I picked. I suddenly realized that compared to my reading habits back in college days, when I could comfortably spend 4 -5 hours in the company of books, I was finding it difficult these days, to keep my attention span for even more than 20 minutes. But the books I picked up were really interesting which helped me retain my attention.
I spend over an hour in the library, in one of the best environments to read a book and every single minute I spend there, I felt knowledge enriching me and peace enveloping me. ( The book I was reading was, Taming Tigers: Do Things You Never Thought You Could by Jim Lawless )
The whole experience was enhanced by the music concert that I attended in the Metro Park, on my way home. Another quality 2 hours, in the presence of music. Overall it was such a beautiful day.
