Last day at International Tech Park ( ITPL )

By | November 28, 2014

When I walked home yesterday, after a day’s work, it was a time for a retreat through the memory lane. I was saying goodbye to the place that I had worked for more than 5 years.

I joined ACS ( Affiliated Computer Services, now acquired by Xerox ) on August 11, 2008. A week before that, I had come to ITPL, the place where my office was located, as part of the interview and I was a greeted by a huge crowd. I peeped through the multitudes and saw that a music show was going on. Wow ! I thought to myself rock music and work. Kind of sounds weird and exciting at the same time. I could see people resting on the lush green lawns ( now converted to Park square mall), fountains, clean roads, the pyramid houses and all in all, a great place to work and have fun. This was my 14th developer interview ( I did not keep track of other job profile interview that I attended ) and I did not have many hopes. But when I saw this great environment, where I could potentially get a chance to work, I said to myself, I need this job!

When the confirmation came and as I walked in as the employee of the company ACS, it was nothing short of a dream come true. I just loved every single aspect of the park. My life in the tech park began in the building ‘Discoverer’ as a Software Engineer Trainee and following are some of the major events that had the last impact on my life, since then.

The rock band

The first thing that keeps running through my mind when I think about ITPL, is our rock band. My association with Firdaus, helped me be part of the band, while I was still a beginner in

  1. took photographs
  2. rock show
  3. audition + live show
  4. walking around the park
  5. a place where the water falls, and sit on the chair and relax and attend calls – esp matthew
  6. gym – lost money,at the same build body
  7. guitar practice
