I am going to take the plunge. Big changes are going to come in my life. And I need your prayers as well. Next few months, I want to get a deep understanding of the books I have decided to read.
I have been looking for this answer, about the female form, Why she was related to Maya ?
I got a very simple answer when you look at a very beautiful girl, you fail to see what is her real self. You fall for her beauty. You are filled with lust and thoughts to posses her. But then isn’t that maya, all about ? Seeing things from the outside and failing to see its true value? And at the end when you do not get it/ her, you are left with confusion and despair.
But why compare Maya with the female form ?
Let’s have a look at the wikipedia page about Maya

Successful yogic liberation would leave Prakriti without dance partners and she returns to an undifferentiated mass
The paragraph above has just described the whole creation, sustaining, moksha and final destruction in one beautiful paragraph
And one more thing, I read recently read that, people with pale skin cannot tolerate sun, thanks to melanin deficiency. Whereas people with darker skin tones can tolerate sun compared to pale colored people
Sun being the truth and the giver of all energy to all the plants and animals in this universe, having a darker complexion, according to me, is a sign that you are able to face the sun, face the truth, face the giver of energy and truth itself in its purest form, in a philosophical sense.
I am beginning to believe, everything has a reason, E V E R Y T H I N G
