Melvin called me up and informed me that he will be here tomorrow afternoon and will be going to Trivandrum on the next day. He is on his way from Pune, after attending a training on security.
I am so much excited about it, that I am not even sure what to expect.
The last time he had come ( which was last weekend ) so many things happened, and it goes something like this
- Melvin wanted to purchase a 12 string guitar and he wanted to do that in Bangalore. We went to several shops and tried out guitars. I liked the tone of this one particular ‘Pluto’ 12 string guitar and strangely enough ( considering my knowledge in music is limited ) Melvin too agreed to my opinion and decided to go with this particular guitar. What surprised me was the fact about the importance he gave to my opinion
- The next day Melvin told me that the guitar had a problem at the bridge and we decided to go back to the shop. The shop owner, Mr. Venkatesh, asked us if he wants this to be fixed or change the guitar. We opted for a new guitar and hence we picked a brand new piece. We asked him about an acoustic guitar for me and he showed a Yamaha 610. Guess what ? In less than 1 hour, I was carrying this amazing guitar, back home
- Melvin picked up a Marshall amp too !
- We also had our recording sessions with Karthik and several jamming sessions as well
- We did combined cooking as well as cleaning
- Melvin taught me about choir singing ( 4 part singing ) and the importance of rhythm
When Melvin had to go for the training in Pune, he left his 12 string and his Marshal amp with me. I had some practice sessions with my electric guitar, and the feel was simply amazing. I am seriously thinking of going for a Marshall soon. Should cost around 12,000 or something.But the feel I get playing on the Marshall, cannot be compared.
Now considering all the things that had happened, I am more than excited and not sure what to expect tomorrow.
