I was talking to one of my colleague, the other day and he was sharing with me a special interest that he had. The topic was about rare and precious stones as well as crystals. I told him that since not many people are aware of this subject doesn’t he feel disappointed? He told me that, he was privileged to have friends like me who shared this interest and that itself was a great gift. He was not bothered by other things.
Now here is a fact, I sometimes find it hard to communicate with people and that’s the reason why I have a very small close-knit group of friends who truly understand me and support me. I used to envy people who had lots of friends and were always seemed to be on the ‘go’. You know what I mean.
But in the last few days being away from my workplace and friends, I learned a very important lesson: Its very difficult to get people who truly understand and connect with you. People may appreciate you for what you are not and make you feel important but somehow I can’t find people who can connect with me at a deeper level as my friends do.
Five names come to my mind, Swaroop, Melvin, Nanda Gopal, Sri, and Colleen. Other guys on the friend list, you are equally important to me.
Guys, you make my life a lot easier, a lot bearable and I am truly privileged to have the opportunity to learn from you ON A DAILY BASIS. God bless all of you and help you light the ways of many more people, as you have been doing to me.
